Arthur Atta gives his first interview as a Fiorentina player You signed your first professional contract with Metz just three years ago. Now you're here as a new Fiorentina player... “Yes, I'm delighted. Thinking back to when I was at Metz, this is a big step forward for me today. I'm very happy and I can't wait to wear this shirt.” What's your first impression of Viola Park? “I haven't seen it all yet because it's too big but what I have seen is amazing. I'm looking forward to playing on these pitches.” Lots of clubs were interested in you but Fiorentina were determined to get you. “Yes, it's true. I spoke a lot with Fabio Paratici and the coach and decided this was the right club for me. I'm even more convinced by that now.” What do you know about Florence? “I don't know the city but from what I've seen and heard it seems amazing.” Who are you footballing idols? “Like everyone, I look up to Cristiano Ronaldo but I also like [Paul] Pogba – he did well in Italy and he's French too.” What sort of player are you and where do you think you can improve? "I'm quite versatile. I like finding space for myself and my team-mates. I'm a technical player. What can I improve? Last season I had lots of chances to score, and I scored a few, but I could have scored more. It's something I've spoken to the coach about too. I can improve my heading too."
