Tosin Adarabioyo continues to be linked with a move away from Chelsea as the summer transfer window draws to a close. Amid the growing speculation over his future, the Manchester City academy graduate was omitted from Chelsea's squad for their final pre-season fixture against Real Sociedad at Stamford Bridge on Saturday. According to Sky Sports UK, 1993 Champions League winners Marseille and two-time European champions Benfica are among the clubs interested in signing the defender. Benfica are in the market for a new centre-back and have also been linked with Southampton's Taylor Harwood-Bellis, AC Milan's Fikayo Tomori and PSV Eindhoven's Ryan Flamingo. Should a move to Benfica materialise, the Nigeria Football Federation target could reunite with Marco Silva, who coached him during his time at Fulham. Under the Portuguese manager, the London-born defender made 98 appearances and scored five goals. The 28-year-old has spent the past two years with the Blues, making 70 appearances and scoring seven goals. Despite having two years remaining on his contract, his future at Chelsea is up in the air, with Xabi Alonso's side well stocked in central defence. A reunion with Marco Silva, who coached him at Fulham between 2021 and 2024, is said to appeal to Tosin, but he's weighing up his options, including the possibility of remaining in England.
