Djed Spence completes move from Tottenham to Inter Milan

Inter Milan have confirmed the signing of England defender Djed Spence from Tottenham on a five-year contract. The Italian champions have not disclosed the fee, while it was reported on Friday that the two clubs had agreed a £30million deal, with Spurs inserting a 10 per cent sell-on clause. Inter announced the deal on their official website, saying: “The English wing-back joins the Nerazzurri from Tottenham Hotspur on a permanent transfer. Former Middlesbrough wing-back Spence, who began his career at Fulham, joined Tottenham for £12.5m in the summer of 2022 and has also had loan spells at Nottingham Forest, Rennes, Leeds and Genoa. The 26-year-old made 43 appearances in all competitions for Tottenham last season and featured in all eight of England’s World Cup matches, including starts in the semi-final defeat to Argentina and the third-place play-off win against France.
