Substitutes were required to help the Fylde Coast outfit to their equaliser, with Finley Munroe turning in a Tom Bloxham ball at the back post on his debut in Tangerine following his loan move from Middlesbrough. “The disappointing thing is, we’re all feeling it, we deserved to win the game with that performance level,” Evatt said. “At this stage of the season, it’s not necessarily about the results because we’ve got a full season ahead of us, but it is about performance, process, and me seeing the things we’ve been working on. We looked like a fit team, an intense team, and an intelligent team at times. “We dominated the game for long periods. We’re frustrated with the set piece detail in the first half, for and against. For that first corner, we just didn’t do our jobs correctly. “On the flip side, we showed resilience that we can come back from being behind. “In possession, everything we practiced didn’t quite come off, so there’s more focus there needed, but everything else, I was really pleased with. “I was pleased with our work and how dominant we were, and the control of the game we had. We knew the subs weren’t ready to start, but they could come on to impact it, and they did that. “Other than the win, it was pretty good - just frustrated we didn’t win.”
