Hull City boss Sergej Jakirovic says he expects a new striker arrival ahead of the Premier League’s big kick-off next weekend against Manchester United. Jakirovic’s lack of depth in attacking areas was highlighted on Saturday when Oli McBurnie was replaced by academy graduate Tyrell Sellars-Fleming with five minutes to go of the goalless draw with Nice. Kyle Joseph and Enis Destan have both been sold, and though Joe Gelhardt is back, he’s set for a couple of weeks out with an ankle problem. The Tigers know they must sign a forward to help McBurnie, and Jakirovic says the club are working on bringing in at least one new face before the weekend, possibly two. JOIN US ON FACEBOOK! Latest Hull City news and analysis on our Hull Live FB page "We are working on that, and I hope in the next few days we will get at least one striker, maybe two," Jakirovic told Hull Live. "We need more strikers because of injuries, and the season is very long. We have already spoken with some players, so we will see when we finish. "I think it will be in the next two or three days. We also need players in the winger position. We need better competition there, so that if you do not start, you will come later and make an impact. In this position, we need players who can make a difference. "We need match winners because we had a few very nice situations in the box and around the box against Nice that should be a one hundred per cent chance." On the draw against the French Ligue 1 side, City couldn't find a way through and ended their pre-season campaign with a goalless draw. "Nice are a good team and tried to prepare something tactically for this game, and it was OK. "We had some opportunities, maybe we could score a goal there, but just at half-time, we changed our midfield zone to better press around the ball. "It was a better setup from us in the second half, our wingers were a bit more narrow, we stole a lot of balls, though there was a lack of a last pass, maybe we can be more clinical in this situation."
