Though Sunderland and Toulouse have been negotiating for a number of weeks on the deal, a bigger sum up front looks to be the key to a breakthrough. The potential final deal is reported to include an initial sum of around €28 million with around €2 million to potentially be realised in add-ons. For the second week in a row, Methalie has been left out of the Toulouse squad for their pre-season friendlies.
