Blackpool assistant coach reflects on pre-season fortunes as Grimsby Town tie approaches Blackpool rounded off pre-season with a 1-0 loss to Port Vale. Reflecting on Blackpool’s pre-season fortunes, Blackpool assistant coach Stephen Crainey said: “We’ve been really happy. We want to win games first and foremost, we’ve just lacked a bit of end product in the final third. “We’re confident with the players we’ve got in the building that it will come; we don’t want them to get too down. We want to go and win. “We’ll see how transfers go over the next few weeks but it’s up to the manager and the recruitment team to sort that. Fingers crossed we can do a bit of business, but whether that happens or not - we’re really content with the squad we’ve got.”
