Club chief confirms Cardiff City transfer deal for international on the brink
The Bluebirds appear to be closing in on a move for the 24-year-old, with a deal now close, according to Lincoln
Lincoln City CEO Liam Scully says he expects Jack Moylan to join Cardiff City this summer.
It's understood Cardiff are closing in on completing a deal for the Republic of Ireland international, having reportedly agreed a substantial fee with the Imps.
Scully has now confirmed the midfielder is likely to be a Bluebirds player soon. Join the Cardiff City breaking news and top stories WhatsApp community.
"The deal isn't done yet and there's still a bit to go," he told the BBC.
"I'd expect it to be completed, and Jack goes with our best wishes.
"Ultimately, part of this is we don't need to sell.
"But ultimately I think we're looking at how we can best put together a group for Lincoln City in the Championship.
"All things considered, it feels like the right thing for Lincoln City and Jack Moylan."
A move would come as a welcome boost to Cardiff, who have so far completed just one transfer in this window, sealing a permanent move for goalkeeper Nathan Trott.
Moylan scored 11 league goals and registered seven assists from midfield last season, a record that established him as one of League One's standout performers.
His impressive form also earned him a senior Republic of Ireland call-up this summer.
Comfortable operating as a No.10, an advanced No.8 or drifting into wide areas, Moylan would offer a potentially versatile creative option for Barry-Murphy.
Meanwhile, defender Jesper Daland looks to be on his way out of the club, with the Norwegian closing in on a move to Viking.
