Speaking on CelticPlayer, O’Neill said: “Yeah, they’re coming with us. Mika’s definitely ahead of Haissem. In the sense that he has played football.” Baur arrives from Paderborn having completed a full pre-season in Germany and has already made clear that he feels ready to play immediately. That puts him in a strong position to be involved at Tannadice as Celtic look to move into the next round of the cup. Hassan’s situation is slightly different. O’Neill explained that the winger had time off after the World Cup and then did not take part in normal team training with Real Oviedo before completing his move to Celtic. He said: “After the World Cup was over Haissem took a bit of a holiday. He’s come back but didn’t really train with Oviedo and trained on his own with a trainer. It’s a totally different thing really. “So this is the first time that he’s really joined in, a couple of days. We’ll see how he is. Taking his fitness, or not full fitness, into consideration.” O’Neill confirmed the 23-year-old will still travel with the squad and could be used depending on how he looks before the game. He added: “But he’s coming with us and we’ll see. I don’t know whether we’ll start with him or not.” With Celtic facing LASK in the Champions League just days later, O’Neill will also have to balance getting his new players minutes with making sure they are ready for the European tie. For now, Baur appears the more likely of the two new arrivals to make an immediate impact against Dundee United.
