Hearts confirm new addition Hearts have completed the signing of former Rangers goalkeeper Kieran Wright on a short-term contract to replace third-choice stopper Zander Clark, who is set for a spell on the sidelines with injury. The 27-year-old has put pen to paper on a deal until January and will provide backup to Beau Reus and Ryan Fulton until at least the end of the year, with a number of the Jambos’ young goalkeepers currently out on loan at various clubs to gain valuable first-team experience. A short statement on the Hearts website read: “Goalkeeper Kieran Wright has joined the club on a deal to January. An experienced shotstopper, who counts the likes of Rangers, Livingston & Kilmarnock among his former clubs, Kieran will bolster the goalkeeping ranks domestically and for Europe. Welcome, Kieran.” Wright played largely for Rangers’ B team during his stay in Govan, but has played regular first-team football during loan spells at Airdrieonians, Partick Thistle and Albion Rovers earlier in his career. With his contract expiring at Ibrox earlier this summer, he’ll now bid to win an extended deal at Tynecastle in the coming weeks and months. Aberdeen boss explains exit Aberdeen head coach Stephen Robinson has claimed that Icelandic Under-21 international Kjartan Mar Kjartansson had “made it clear” he no longer wanted to play for the club before his move to SK Brann this summer. But do you not get that feeling that when he [McInnes] talks, he’s not got the players that he has probably identified? They’ve not got them in the door quick enough for him. “The thing with Lewis, was that not a waste of time? It was a waste of time having the conversation and all that. Because they must have known the price [Bologna] wanted? Between 15-20million euros. Rangers can’t go there for a player, so why did they go down that route?
