AC Milan have reached an agreement with Porto this morning on the transfer of Santiago Gimenez, according to reports from Italy. With each passing week, it seems more likely that Gimenez will be leaving Milan, and things could be wrapped up in the next few days. However, the biggest breakthrough was the striker’s willingness to move to Portugal, with an agreement only ‘one step away’. Gimenez to Porto: Clubs agree a deal Now, it seems that a move will be finalised shortly, with an agreement reached between Porto and the Rossoneri this morning, as reported by Orazio Accomando, via MilanNews. “Agreement in principle between Milan and Porto for the loan transfer with option to buy of Gimenez. Package exceeding 20M.” Of course, Gimenez still needs to agree to a deal; then it will just be a case of getting the final confirmation of the transfer.
