Couhaib Driouech to Rangers transfer is OFF as winger's medical throws up issue The PSV wide man was in attendance as the Glasgow giants crashed out of the Europa League on Thursday Rangers' move for PSV star Couhaib Driouech has collapsed. Ibrox chiefs had lined up a £7million deal for the Moroccan winger as they sought to fulfil boss Derek McInnes ' demand for fresh attacking talent. The 24-year-old even travelled to Glasgow to take in Gers' Europa League clash with Jagiellonia Bialystok last night after agreeing personal terms on a four year contract. But the deal has now fallen through following the wide man's medical. Record Sport understands that he is currently carrying a slight injury. While the issue is not major, Rangers bosses are concerned it would keep him out for a key period of time. And with their boss desperate for someone who can make an impact now, Gers have now decided to look elsewhere. Ibrox sources insist the Jagiellonia result had no bearing on the decision. The news will come as another bitter blow for luckless McInnes and the frustrated Rangers ' fanbase. They've already seen their side crash out of the Europa League following a 3-2 aggregate defeat to the Poles having fallen five points behind Celtic only two games into the new Premiership season. To make matters worse, star striker Youssef Chermiti has been ruled out for the season while McInnes faces a defensive crisis following injuries to Ben Godfrey and Tuur Rommens. The arrival of former Hearts full-back James Penrice from AEK Athens today should help on that front but the Driouech development is a headache McInnes can do without.
