EXCLUSIVE: Cheltenham Town sign Leicester City forward Kirsten Otchere on loan First loan signing of the summer for Steve Cotterill's Cheltenham Town ahead of Saturday's competitive opener Cheltenham Town have signed forward Kirsten Otchere on a season-long loan from Leicester City. The 19-year-old has scored three pre-season goals for Leicester, netting against Bristol Rovers, Burton Albion and Cadiz. He also made two assists in a 3-0 win over Northampton Town, underlining his potential after a fine campaign with the Foxes' Under-21s last season. Otchere scored nine goals and provided three assists in 12 Premier League Two starts and four substitute appearances during 2025/26. He now becomes the Robins' seventh signing of the summer and their first loan addition. They have already brought in Charlie McCann, Jordan Shipley, Pierce Sweeney, Shaun McWilliams, Wyll Stanway and Joe Tomlinson on permanent deals. "I'm delighted to be joining Cheltenham Town and I can’t wait to get started, it's a great opportunity for me at a brilliant club," Otchere said. "I’m looking forward to meeting everyone and getting to play first team football, I hope for a successful season." Manager Steve Cotterill added: "Kirsten is a player with a lot of potential and we're pleased to bring him to the club. "He's hungry to learn, works hard and possesses qualities that we believe will strengthen our attacking options and we're looking forward to helping him develop during his time with us." Cotterill's side host Championship outfit Charlton Athletic in the Carabao Cup first round on Saturday (5.30pm kick-off). Their first League Two match is at home to Rotherham United a week later (3pm).
