However, it is noted that Rangers medical team then flagged that an injury issue could keep the player out for six weeks - while PSV claimed it would be just a week - and the Glasgow giants "indicated that they could not simply honour the verbal agreement reached with PSV." It is said that the "blow hadn't yet landed for Driouech" and he opted to attend the qualifier with El Ghouche "despite their doubts" as they "still believed the deal might go through." The plug was formally pulled on a deal on Friday morning with the player set to return to Eindhoven. In the midst of the storm, Driouech broke his social medical silence with a cryptic post to his Instagram story. Furthermore, PSV director of football Earnest Stewart lifted the lid on the player's mindset after the veto from Rangers. He told Dutch media: “Couhaib is really upset about it. Very unfortunate.
