The VfL Women have found the reinforcement they were looking for at centre-forward in the US professional league, signing Lara Prasnikar from Utah Royals. Prasnikar has put pen to paper on a contract with VfL until 30 June 2029 and will wear the number 9 shirt. The 28-year-old striker moved to the USA from Eintracht Frankfurt in 2025. Prasnikar made 12 appearances across two seasons for the team from the greater Salt Lake City area, scoring two goals. The daughter of former Bundesliga coach Bojan Prasnikar left the Frauen-Bundesliga with an impressive record of 68 goals in 162 appearances. Before her time in Frankfurt (2020 – 2025), she played for 1. FFC Turbine Potsdam (2016 – 2020). The 2023 Slovenian Women’s Player of the Year has also scored 48 goals in 94 appearances for her country.
