Town won the race for the services of the in-demand midfielder, who elected to run down his contract at Peterborough United and leave under freedom of contact in May. "Having spoken to a number of clubs both in this division and higher, my main motivations were to find a side that shared my aspirations and would give me the best chance of taking my game and career to the next level." Bradford City chief Graham Alexander has professed his delight at quickly covering his goalkeeping bases by signing Cameron Dawson. The former Rotherham United and Owls goalkeeper, 31, has joined on an initial one-year deal. The Sheffielder provide senior competition for Jon McCracken following the departure of Sam Walker, who sealed his move to Championship outfit Watford on Wednesday evening. On Dawson, who has become the club's eighth window signing, Alexander commented: “Cameron is a keeper we have looked at previously and know quite well. "He is determined to show his skill set with us and alongside Jon, we will have a very trustworthy and competitive goalkeeping department.” Meanwhile, Wednesday forward Charlie McNeill has joined Crewe Alexandra on a season-long loan. The ex-Manchester United frontman, 22, has been with the Owls for the past two seasons, scoring six goals in 48 appearances.
