Hull City 'considering' Preston North End bid for Cody Drameh as Millwall and Stoke City 'explore' moves
A trio of Championship clubs have been credited with interest in Hull City defender Cody Drameh
Hull City defender Cody Drameh has reportedly attracted interest from a trio of Championship clubs - and been the subject of an offer from Preston North End.
The 24-year-old has been on the books at the MKM Stadium since 2024, when he made the move to East Yorkshire from Leeds United.
He has made 55 appearances for the Tigers, but was a bit-part player in their recent promotion-winning Championship campaign.
Interest in Hull City defender Cody Drameh
Preston were strongly linked with the right-back last year and talk of interest from the Lilywhites has now resurfaced.
Sky Sports have claimed the Championship club have lodged a £1m bid that is being considered by Hull.
Millwall and Stoke City, meanwhile, are said to be exploring moves for the former England youth international.
Drameh has one year remaining on his contract at the MKM Stadium and the report has indicated he is weighing up his options.
Cody Drameh’s career to date - and future
The defender will turn 25 before the end of the calendar year and could be forgiven for being keen to get himself truly established in one particular place.
He found first-team opportunities limited during his time at Leeds and had loan spells away from Elland Road at Cardiff City, Luton Town and Birmingham City.
When he joined Hull in 2024, Drameh spoke of the “unstable” nature of his career to date.
He said: “I’m really happy to be here. It feels like it’s been coming for a bit of time for me. What attracted me was the owner and the interest the club showed in me.
“Everyone seemed like they really wanted me. It’s a pleasure to feel wanted and that was something that attracted me.
“It’s been a bit unstable for me - I’ve been around a lot - so now to finally settle down in Hull, and hopefully do some big things with Hull, is really nice.”
It has not been plain-sailing for Drameh at Hull but his appeal to Championship clubs is clear. The bulk of his experience has been accumulated in the second tier, a division he has escaped with both Luton and Hull.
