Hull City make transfer decision over Everton midfielder Tim Iroegbunam

Hull City will not be signing Tim Iroegbunam from Everton, it's understood, with the midfielder set to be sidelined for a lengthy spell after sustaining a hamstring injury last weekend.
The midfielder was withdrawn after just 17 minutes of Everton's 3-1 defeat the MHP Arena last weekend against Stuttgart, and because of that prognosis, the Tigers are thought, at this stage, to have moved on.
Hull Live reported back in June that the Tigers had made the 23-year-old one of their prime transfer targets following promotion to the Premier League, and were prepared to pay up to £20m to sign him.

Discussions with Everton had been progressing well in recent days and it was hoped the Tigers would be able to seal a deal for the player who is out of contract at the Hill Dickinson Stadium next summer, albeit there is an additional 12-month option in his Merseyside deal.
That was until the prognosis of Iroegbunam's injury became clear in the past couple of days, which has come as a hammer blow to him, and City, who were keen to get a deal done for a player they rate highly and believe had the potential to make a real difference in their engine room.
Everton were prepared to sell the former Aston Villa youngster, having brought in Hayden Hackney and Christian Nørgaard this summer, but it's now expected he'll be out for around six weeks. With City's injury crisis already biting, they can ill-afford to spend the best part of £20m on a player who may not play until the Autumn.
City will now move onto other targets, though their midfield ranks will be boosted ahead of Saturday's final friendly of the summer against French Ligue 1 side, Nice, with Lucas Gourna-Douath joining on a five-year deal from RB Salzburg.
The club will also confirm the arrival of Joe Gelhardt before their MKM Stadium showdown on Saturday afternoon, with City's former loan favourite penning a four-year deal, with a 12-month option.
Meanwhile, Enis Destan is leaving the MKM Stadium and will seal a permanent return to Turkey. The striker, who was told by Sergej Jakirovic he would find it difficult to feature in the Premier League, will sign for City's first opponents of the summer, Konyaspor.
