Hull City transfer twist emerges as Everton's Tim Iroegbunam dealt 'hammer blow'
A twist regarding Hull City’s pursuit of Everton midfielder Tim Iroegbunam looks to have emerged
Hull City will not be signing Tim Iroegbunam from Everton following an injury blow for the midfielder, according to a report.
The 23-year-old was a bit-part player for the Toffees last season and emerged as a summer transfer target for the newly-promoted Tigers.
Reports indicated Hull had tabled a bid worth over £15m for the former Aston Villa man and that progress was being made.

However, according to Hull Live, the plug has been pulled following an injury for Iroegbunam.
The midfielder was withdrawn from Everton’s friendly defeat to Stuttgart last week and the injury is thought to be worse than initially hoped.
He is reportedly set for a spell on the sidelines, prompting Hull to look elsewhere in their efforts to strengthen in midfield.
Hull City preparing for the Premier League
Hull are due to kick off their Premier League campaign on August 22, when Manchester United are due to visit the MKM Stadium.
Sergej Jakirovic’s squad still needs plenty of work but does look set to be bolstered by the permanent signing of Joe Gelhardt from Leeds United.
An agreement to sign former France Under-21s midfielder Lucas Gourna-Douath from Red Bull Salzburg is also thought to have been struck.
Last month, regarding Hull’s upcoming return to the top flight, owner Acun Ilicali said: “It's like something you were dreaming, I wished it to happen and it happened, so now I'm counting down the days to see Manchester United on the pitch.
“Nothing has changed, my life is completely too busy, so I cannot say that it can change my life, but it's a different mood, now you are in the Premier League and you are involved in transfers.
“The players we are dealing with are now bigger and bigger budget and quality players. It's a completely different motivation.”
