He played 15 times for the Foxes' Under-21s last season and had been tipped to become the latest player to come through the academy, after previously training with the first team. However, the attacking midfielder has now left the football club and joined Manchester City. Motsi has been linked with a move away from Leicester all summer, with Liverpool and Man City battling for his signature. It is the Citizens who have landed the wonderkid, with the Premier League side confirming the move on Friday. The first steps sees the purchasing club submitting a signed registration form to the Premier League, with the second stage involves the governing body appointing an independent third party to conduct a series of interviews with Motsi, his parents and representatives from City and Man City. Step three sees the two clubs, along with the player's parents, being required to sign a declaration that there are no financial or similar inducements as part of the move. Following that, the fourth stage involves the third party doing a report for the Premier League's board in which they offer a recommendation regarding the club's application to register the player. The fifth and final step is then left to the Premier League to either approve or reject the registration application. Should a breach of youth development rules be discovered during the investigation, the Premier League can then take subsequent disciplinary action. Motsi's exit comes after Leicester lost Jeremy Monga to Enzo Maresca's side. The 17-year-old left City earlier in the summer, signing a long-term deal in Manchester worth around £12.5million including add-ons. It also follows speculation around Louis Page, who has been strongly linked with a move to Manchester United. According to reports, the Premier League giants are pushing to sign the 18-year-old, with a deal worth more than £10m mentioned this week. Defender Christian Boothe has been linked with a move to Newcastle United, while Maxwell Adedeji has already sealed his switch to Tottenham Hotspur.
