Albion have completed the signing of SK Brann midfielder Felix Horn Myhre in a move worth an initial £2.5million. The Baggies have wrapped up a deal for the Norway international, who has checked into The Hawthorns as James Morrison’s seventh new summer signing. Myhre, 27, has penned a three-year contract at The Hawthorns. His transfer fee could rise to £3.1m if all add-ons are met. He was a leading target of head coach Morrison and is viewed as one of the most potentially influential recruit of Shilen Patel’s two-and-a-half year ownership. Myhre is the second consecutive summer recruit from Norwegian eliteserien outfit Brann after Albion brought the midfielder’s former team-mate Aune Heggebo to The Hawthorns last summer in a £4.7million switch. The seven-cap midfielder caught Morrison’s eye when the Baggies boss was looking at Heggebo’s performances for Brann. Myhre, who is a creative and goalscoring midfielder, made 181 appearances in five years for the Bergen club. He also weighed in with 32 goals and 39 assists before a farewell appearance in a 3-2 win over Rosenborg on Sunday night.
