AC Milan are looking into the signing of another wing-back before the window shuts, and a new idea has emerged. Milan have found themselves in a sticky situation when it comes to the flanks. Pervis Estupinan seemed destined for Aston Villa, but Ruben Amorim blocked his departure because he wanted to evaluate him during the summer tour of Australia and Indonesia. Aston Villa got tired of waiting and decided to pursue Matteo Ruggeri instead, leaving Milan ‘stuck’ with Estupinan. If they offload the Ecuadorian, though, the management are ready to pounce. According to what Repubblica (via MilanNews) have revealed this morning, Milan are considering two names in particular for the left flank. The first is Nuno Tavares of Lazio, and the second is Nicola Zalewski of Lazio. Both are options that know the league well and could be affordable. First, they need to secure the sale of Estupinan, who as mentioned is no longer a target for Aston Villa and does not currently seem to have any concrete suitors. On the right side Zachary Athekame is heading for a loan spell, but Alexis Saelemaekers and Samuel Chukwueze seem preferred there.
