Blackpool handed two fresh fixture changes - including local clash against Wigan Athletic Blackpool’s games against Wigan Athletic and Burton Albion have been selected for TV coverage. A number of Blackpool’s game have been moved from their original kick off times. The 2026/27 campaign is yet to get underway, but TV selections are already being put firmly in place. November’s home meeting with Wigan Athletic has become the latest Seasiders fixture to be picked up by Sky Sports +, with the game on Saturday 21 now kicking off at the earlier time of 12.30pm. Meanwhile, a few months later, a trip to the Pirelli Stadium for Ian Evatt’s side has been brought forward. Instead of taking place at the usual 3pm Saturday slot, the away meeting with Burton Albion will now kick off at 8pm on Friday January 8, with the game being broadcast live on Sky Sports Football. A number of Blackpool fixtures prior to that have already been amended, with the first being the home clash with Peterborough United on August 29 - which will now get underway at 12.30pm. Meanwhile, a few days later, the Seasiders face Barnsley on Wednesday September 2 (K.O. 7.45pm), after the game was pushed back 24 hours than originally scheduled. Elsewhere, the Seasiders’ trip to Hillsborough to take on Sheffield Wednesday has been moved back a day to Sunday November 1 (K.O. 2pm).
