Spanish striker Eliezer Mayenda is set to return to the Stadium of Light after his summer move to the French club. Rennes paid £21.5million for the 21-year-old Spain U21 international. Mayenda struggled for minutes in the Premier League, making just eight starts, playing 756 minutes, the 10th lowest in the squad.
