AS Roma have been tentatively linked as they seek to sign a new winger but Martinelli, who has one year remaining on his current contract though the club hold an option to extend that by a further 12 months, earns more than they are willing to pay. The 25-year-old is at somewhat of a crossroads in his career with regular minutes in north London appearing unlikely following the arrival of Christos Tzolis and Arsenal's desire to bring in a new attacker.
