Arne Engels is on his way to West Ham United after the two clubs agreed a fee worth in the region of £22million for the Belgian international.
The 22-year-old midfielder, who currently represents Celtic in the Scottish Premier Division has been linked with a move to east London all summer, being as he is one of Nils Koppen's main summer transfer targets.
And Koppen finally appears to have got his man after the Bhoys accepted a third bid from the Hammers for Engels, who is set to sign a five-year deal tying him to West Ham United until 2031.
The player was the subject of a similar bid from Nottingham Forest during the January transfer window, but Celtic opted to reject the Tricky Trees' £25million offer at the time.
However with Engels having informed his current employers he would like to seal a move to Stratford, Celtic have reluctantly accepted United's latest bid - which, when completed, would represent a Championship record fee. * Something to say about this story?
