England under-21s are to play a home game at Stoke City for the first time in 24 years. The Young Lions will host Slovakia at the bet365 Stadium in the final match of their European Championships qualifying campaign on Friday, October 2 (7.45pm). Stoke season card holders will have access to discounted tickets, priced at £10 for adults and £5 for concessions. General admission is £15 or £7.50 concessions. It will be the first international under-21s match at the stadium since 2002 when an England side featuring Peter Crouch, Jermaine Pennant and Stephen Wright played against Portugal. Portugal won 1-0 at what was then the Britannia Stadium with a goal from Antonio Tonel. FOLLOW OUR FACEBOOK PAGE! He has called upon Tommy Simkin as well as last season's Stoke loanees Ashley Phillips and Divin Mubama. Simkin was in the squad that was crowned European champions last year. England are three points clear of Slovakia at the top of their group and a win against Kazakhstan in Wolverhampton in September would mean a chance of securing qualification in Stoke-on-Trent.
