Tri-national forward Sylvester Jasper is on the brink of completing a transfer to Belgian Pro League giants Standard Liège. According to transfer market expert Sacha Tavolieri, Jasper is currently undergoing a medical at Standard Liège. Standard Liège and Železničar Pančevo have reached an agreement in principle for the transfer of the attacker and are now exchanging the necessary documents. If he passes his medical, Jasper is expected to sign a three-year contract with Standard Liège, with the club holding an option to extend the deal for the 2029–30 season. Born in London, Jasper is eligible for his country of birth England, as well as Bulgaria and Nigeria through his mother and father respectively. After representing England's Young Lions, he became provisionally cap-tied to Bulgaria after he was named in the starting lineup for a European U21 Championship qualifier against the Netherlands in November 2021. With a transfer imminent, Jasper was not called up for Železničar Pančevo's UEFA Conference League qualifying tie with Sporting Braga on Thursday. Železničar coach Radomir Koković admitted that the English-Bulgarian-Nigerian forward was omitted from the squad because he is in the final stages of completing a transfer. A product of the Fulham academy, Jasper lists Colchester United, Hibernian, Bristol Rovers, Portimonense and Śląsk Wrocław as his previous clubs. Ifeanyi Emmanuel
