Brentford’s Jayden Meghoma has been added to Club Brugge’s list of options if they decide to move for a left-back this summer. Journalist Sacha Tavolieri reports that the 20-year-old is now on Brugge’s shortlist. The Blauw & Zart have already expressed their interest in the Brentford defender. Brentford man on list According to the journalist’s information, Jayden Meghoma is one of the profiles under consideration at Brugge. There has been no concrete movement to sign him at this point. The Belgian club are yet to decide whether to move forward with a left-back signing this summer. If they decide to move definitively, then the 20-year-old could become a concrete option. The Belgian side only have one recognised left-back in their current squad, Joaquin Seys. They also have right-back’s Kyriani Sabbe and Hugo Siquet who can play in the position. It appears that they’re deciding whether another name is needed to cover the position properly. Meghoma joined Brentford in a €5.9m deal in 2024 but has spent the last year on loan at Preston and then Rangers. He made 44 appearances in all competitions for the Scottish side last season. Reports this summer have linked him with a potential return. One to keep an eye on That will, presumably, come down to how Brentford rate him this summer. He does not appear to be a part of their immediate plans. But he is the only recognised cover for Rico Henry at this moment in time. That means the Bees could be reluctant to do a deal at this point. Fortunately, Club Brugge do not appear to be ready to make any concrete moves. They have simply added Jayden Meghoma to their shortlist should they decide to look for a left-back this summer.
