Tijjani Reijnders 'advanced talks' as Nottingham Forest dealt serious transfer blow Nottingham Forest are interested in signing the Manchester City star in the summer transfer window Nottingham Forest have been dealt a blow in their pursuit of Manchester City midfielder Tijjani Reijnders, with the Netherlands international in 'advanced transfer talks' for a move elsewhere. The Athletic reports that Saudi Arabian club Al Qadsiah are in talks with City and hope to get a deal over the line in the next couple of days. Reijnders only signed for City last summer, in a deal worth £46.4m, joining the club from Serie A giants AC Milan, and talkSPORT claim a move to Saudi is worth £51.3m. JOIN US ON FACEBOOK! Forest are looking for a direct replacement for the England international, who joined Enzo Mareca's side in a deal worth £116m back in July. Reijnders made 47 appearances in all competitions for City, scoring five goals and registering two assists, but started just half of his team's Premier League fixtures. Oliver Glasner's side were keen on signing the Dutch midfielder, but it looks as though they'll miss out. Forest have also been linked with a move for Tottenham Hotspur midfielder Lucas Bergvall, though Spurs' valuation of the Swedish international could be a stumbling point.
