Nottingham Forest manager Oliver Glasner has highlighted a key positive he saw in his side from the 2-1 win over Bayer Leverkusen. Glasner has only been in charge since the beginning of July, meaning adaptation has been delayed for him and his team – particularly with the World Cup this summer. The Austrian coach has already warned his side will not be ready as a result. He insisted that he and his team would need to be wizards for that to be the case. “Without wanting to paint things black, we will not yet be in our best condition at the beginning,” he said. “We would be wizards if we get that done within five, six weeks or with players who might train with us for a week or two.” Leverkusen positives However, he is seeing positives, particularly in the second half against Leverkusen. “Especially the first goal, it was an outstanding game,” he said when asked for his assessment of the result. “I think almost the exact video from the last games showed where we said we wanted better presence in the penalty area and that’s exactly what we did today.
