Though WWE is advertising the match, there has been no build on TV, suggesting that this will be a dark match that will take place after SmackDown goes off the air. Rhodes is a seven-time WWE Tag Team Champion, having held gold with Hardcore Holly, Ted DiBiase Jr, Goldust, and Drew McIntyre during his first run. After returning to WWE in 2022, Rhodes captured the Undisputed WWE Tag Team Championships with Jey Uso in 2023, though their reign lasted under two weeks. Femi has never held tag team gold in WWE. He is a former WWE NXT World Champion and North American Champion, having held the latter title for longer than anyone.
