Former WWE commentator Pat McAfee is ready to file a defamation lawsuit after he was accused of using racial slurs against black people. The claim was made after McAfee appeared alongside President Trump at the 2026 Patriot Games in Ohio, a role that has spawned criticism of McAfee. On Twitter, McAfee shared that the claim was lawsuit-worthy and said he’d have his lawyers look into it, before promoting his upcoming album. McAfee has often claimed that he doesn’t involve politics in sports, despite attending the Patriot Games with the controversial President. McAfee has also pedalled multiple right-wing talking points on his show, including spending six minutes lying that boxer Imane Khelif is transgender. Khelif is a biological woman, was assigned female at birth, and has identified as a woman her entire life, despite what McAfee claimed on his show. McAfee finished his time with WWE at WrestleMania 42 in April and has vowed never to appear in a pro wrestling setting ever again.
