Oba Femi Should Turn Heel, Team With Paul Heyman Like Brock Lesnar: Ex-WWE Champion

Oba Femi has quickly become one of WWE’s biggest breakout stars, but one former WWE Champion believes the powerhouse’s next chapter should look very different. Following Femi’s recent rivalry with Brock Lesnar, Raj Dhesi (AKA Jinder Mahal) has proposed a bold change that could reshape the rising star’s future. Femi has remained one of WWE’s top babyfaces since making his main roster debut at the Royal Rumble earlier this year. However, Dhesi believes the current fan favorite could reach another level by following a path similar to Lesnar’s early WWE run. Raj Dhesi pitches Paul Heyman alliance for Oba Femi In a recent Instagram post, Dhesi shared one of his biggest WWE hot takes, suggesting that Femi should abandon the fan-favorite role and embrace a dominant heel character alongside Paul Heyman. “Turn Oba Femi heel, just like Brock Lesnar when he was when he debuted. Have him destroy everybody and let the crowd naturally turn and babyface. Put him with Paul Heyman.” The comparison comes shortly after Femi concluded his high-profile trilogy with Lesnar. Earlier this month at SummerSlam, Femi defeated “The Beast Incarnate” inside Hell in a Cell. After the match, Lesnar returned to the ring, raised Femi’s hand, and declared the young star “the future of WWE” before later confirming his retirement. Dhesi’s idea mirrors the presentation that helped launch Lesnar into superstardom more than two decades ago. Rather than immediately positioning Lesnar as a hero, WWE portrayed him as an unstoppable force with Heyman serving as his mouthpiece. Fans eventually rallied behind him naturally — a classic case of letting actions do the talking instead of cutting endless promos. Still, such an alliance appears unlikely at present. Heyman is currently aligned with Bron Breakker, and the tension between Breakker and Femi has already become part of WWE programming following SummerSlam. For now, WWE continues to present Femi as one of its leading babyfaces. Whether he stays on that path or eventually turns to the dark side remains to be seen. Nevertheless, Dhesi’s suggestion has certainly added another wrinkle to the conversation surrounding one of WWE’s fastest-rising stars. Read More: John Cena Has an Unexpected Defense of Warner Bros.
