The Buffalo Bills quarterback, 30, shared what he hopes to tell his baby daughter, Harper, about his 2026 team if she asks what his first NFL season as a dad was like when she grows up. The topic arose after an NFL Network host put forth a hypothetical scenario in which Allen and his wife Hailee Steinfeld’s baby girl researches her dad’s life and career as a franchise quarterback when she’s 18 years old and asks him about the kind of team they were that season. “Hopefully she’s sitting there saying, ‘This picture of you holding me on the field under the confetti is pretty cool.’ That’s the vision that I have,” Allen said of his four-month-old daughter in an interview from Bills training camp, published on Wednesday, Aug. 12. Allen also elaborated on the hard work displayed by the athletes on the team, in addition to the support system they have around them. He gave a shoutout to the partners of the players, too. “It takes a lot of sacrifice from those around you, everybody in the building here and outside... all of our wives and girlfriends making sacrifices for us to come out here and do what we do,” Allen told NFL Network, adding, “But hopefully she can see that there’s a lot of love on this team.” Follow your favorite athletes on and off the field with PEOPLE’s free sports newsletter — sign up now!
