The Bloodline influence continues to grow in WWE. Besides being known as the top faction in WWE, the Bloodline now generally refers to the entire umbrella of Samoan wrestlers linked to the Anoa’i family. The latest name to have joined WWE from the famed wrestling collective was Zilla Fatu, the son of the late great Umaga. Zilla showed up at the end of NXT’s latest episode to lay out Cruz Montana and Grayson Waller and made his intentions clear about going straight to the top. Bully Ray was happy with Zilla Fatu’s first night in WWE but had a word of caution about the young star’s alleged reputation in the business. Bully Ray Hopes Zilla Fatu Stays Professional In WWE As The Bloodline Grows Talking on Busted Open Radio, Bully Ray couldn’t argue against the immense potential that Zilla Fatu had to become a top name in WWE. The Hall of Famer, however, was aware of Zilla Fatu’s past controversies on the indies and urged the 26-year-old not to let his ego get the better of him. Bubba Ray Dudley explained: “Zilla f’kn Fatu is in the NXT! Holy Schnikies! Huge, real big for NXT! Zilla Fatu stirs up controversy no matter where he goes, no matter where he wrestles. But Zilla has shown up and made his presence known, starting controversy right off the bat in NXT tonight. Lots and lots and lots of upside to Zilla Fatu, but can Zilla keep his attitude in check? Keep his ego in check? Be professional and not be so much of a loose cannon and so rebellious. But overall, a real positive first night in NXT for Zilla.” 🤯🤯🤯🤯🤯 "Holy Schnikies!"@bullyray5150 reacts to the #WWENXT Debut of @Zillafatu & gives a few words of wisdom on the #BustedOpen247 Podcasthttps://t.co/PmUJRM5XTO 📻Hear #BOAD Weeknights on @siriusxmwwe Ch. 156 & the @SiriusXMSports app! pic.twitter.com/tHFWPcijp1 — SiriusXM Busted Open (@BustedOpenRadio) August 12, 2026 Zilla Fatu has been a controversial name in wrestling since he entered the business in 2023. He began training under Booker T at Reality of Wrestling and even left the company due to alleged attitude issues and irreconcilable differences with the WWE legend. The real-life Bloodline member would also have a public spat with Rikishi after the Samoan legend was critical of Fatu’s appearance for TNA. He also had a fallout with Game Changer Wrestling (GCW), who announced they’d never use him after wrestling several matches between 2024 and 2025. Bully Ray knows Zilla Fatu well, as they’ve wrestled a couple of matches in House of Glory, which was the last company Umaga’s son worked for before joining WWE. Controversies aside, Zilla has to impress in NXT, but working with his Bloodline cousins on the main roster would surely be his major goal.
