The Los Angeles Rams are in the middle of Training Camp, with their sights set on returning to the Super Bowl later in the winter. But just as many teams are currently dealing with injuries, the Rams have more than a few players who aren't at 100 percent right now.
Among the players currently banged up for the Rams are star wide receiver Puka Nacua, along with first-year Rams defensive end Myles Garrett. According to NFL Insider Adam Schefter, the Rams are being “careful” in how they proceed with two of their most important players.
“Meanwhile, the Los Angeles Rams wide receiver Puka Nacua is dealing with a groin injury. I'm told it could be a few days that it could sideline him for, which anyone would sign up for. Not having Puka for a few days, not a huge deal. But the Rams are being careful with him and that groin injury that he suffered yesterday. The same way they're being careful with their prize defensive end, Myles Garrett, who has got some swelling in his knee.
“And before it gets any worse, they're having him take a little bit of time off. They don't think that it's anything serious, and they want to make sure they're being smart with the best defensive player in football, and they want to make sure that he's ready a month from now when they play in Australia against the 49ers. They're not worried about him missing a few Training Camp practices due to swelling in his knee at this time.”
The Rams open up the pre-season portion of their schedule on Saturday against the Kansas City Chiefs.
