Turkish pundit Ali Naci Küçük has revealed the condition for Super Eagles hopeful Lesley Ugochukwu to make his move to Galatasaray permanent at the end of the campaign.
Ugochukwu, who featured for Burnley last season, joined the Yellow-Reds during the current summer window on loan with an option to make the transfer permanent.
The young midfielder impressed Galatasaray manager Okan Buruk following his performances in the Premier League, where he scored three goals and provided two assists in 35 league appearances despite Burnley’s relegation to the Championship.
Speaking via Le Marca Sports, Küçük revealed that Ugochukwu must make 18 appearances for Galatasaray to trigger the condition attached to his potential permanent transfer.
“The number of matches specified in Lesley Ugochukwu's contract is clearly 18. Even if he gets just one minute of playing time, it counts,” he said.
The former Chelsea midfielder, who is also being monitored by Super Eagles manager Eric Chelle, will be keen to continue his impressive development at Rams Park and establish himself as an important figure for the Turkish champions.
With the new campaign approaching, Ugochukwu will hope to make the required appearances and convince Galatasaray to complete his permanent signing at the end of the season.
