Union superstar Henry Pollock to weigh up sensational Super League switch as chief hails ‘off-field profile’ Henry Pollock celebrates Northampton Saints' Premiership Final triumph in 2026 Rugby union superstar Henry Pollock will weigh up a remarkable code switch with a move to Super League potentially on the cards, according to reports. Pollock, still only 21, has fast become one of the most notable figures within the world of the 15-a-side code. England’s youngest-ever try scorer in the Six Nations, the flanker has already also represented the British & Irish Lions: and last month lifted the Premiership title at club level with Northampton Saints. The Banbury-born star’s future has been a major talking point over the last few months since he joined the Matchroom Talent Agency, which is headed up by well-known figure Eddie Hearn, in March. Union superstar Henry Pollock to weigh up sensational Super League switch Pollock’s current salary with Northampton is £150,000 per year, and recently, agent Hearn publicly stated that his client represents a ‘seven-figure player’. Hearn even went as far as labelling the England international’s £150k salary as ‘outrageous’, and now, CityAM report that a number of top-end Super League clubs have been showing interest surrounding a potential shock play for Pollock. Set to turn 22 in January, Pollock has been with union outfit Saints since under-13s level, and captained their under-18s side to the Academy League final back in 2023. CityAM’s report has been endorsed by an unnamed Super League chief, who is understood to have a long-standing relationship with the Hearn family. The chief’s club are among those in the competition reportedly interested in acquiring Pollock, with reference made to the salary cap in Super League and how it favours clubs when trying to sign players from a union background. In their interview with CityAM, the unnamed chief references a liking for Pollock’s ‘off-field profile’, and said: “We’d get a free hit on the salary cap due to dispensations for union players.” Stars from the 15-a-side code moving into league has been a rarity over the years, but there are examples of it happening. Only last year, of course, Wigan Warriors signed Premiership stalwart Christian Wade: whose stint in Super League was not exactly a successful one. Veteran winger Wade scored tries in each of his two appearances for the Warriors, against Huddersfield Giants and Hull FC, but produced a catalogue of errors over the course of those games and was never seen again at first-team level. Soon after the 2025 campaign ended, he returned to union with Newcastle Red Bulls. WATCH THE LRL PODCAST!
