K-State volleyball embracing a fiery start to fall camp MANHATTAN, Kan. (WIBW) -K-State volleyball is ramping up preparations for a new season. The Wildcats held their media day on Tuesday in Manhattan, with the early stages of fall camp already making one thing clear: There’s plenty of energy inside the gym. Senior Reagan Fox said the team’s approach has been competitive from the start, creating an atmosphere that’s carrying into each practice. “I keep desribing it as like fiery and fresh,” Fox said. “Every day has been so competitive, we’re all walking away drenched in sweat, not one person didn’t contribute in practice every single day.” The players are embracing that intensity while also enjoying the process of preparing for the season. “We’re kind of just having a lot of fun with it,” K-State junior Emerson Van Lannen added. “We are taking it serious, but when it comes to competition we’re just going all out. We’re having fun and the vibes are definitely up.” K-State plays an exhibition match at Missouri State on Thursday, followed by a Purple and White scrimmage next Wednesday.
