Sheffield, UK - 12th August, 2026 - The B. Braun Sheffield Sharks announce the re-signing of Mike Ochereobia for the 2026-27 Super League Basketball season. The 37-year-old experienced British centre re-joins the Sharks for his third season with the club. Last season in Sheffield, Ochereobia averaged 3.6 points and 3.7 rebounds during the 2025-26 season. Mike has spent the majority of his career in the UK, having previously played for the Surrey Scorchers, Plymouth Raiders and Cheshire Phoenix before signing in Sheffield. Mike is looking forward to returning to the Sharks for 2026-27, “I’m delighted to be returning to Sheffield again for the new season. I have really enjoyed my time here so it’s a great feeling to be back. The fans in Sheffield are fantastic, and playing in front of them again will be a privilege!” Sharks Head Coach Atiba Lyons stated “Mike has a huge amount of experience that will be great to have in our locker room again for this coming season. Now in his third season with us, he understands what it means to play for this club and how I expect my teams to play. I’m looking forward to having Mike return this season.”
