The Daily Diomande: Good news on Ousmane to Nottingham Forest

· Sport Witness · 2026-08-05 · nguồn gốc

There’s a reasonable chance that The Daily Diomande is coming to the end of it’s short lived publication series. After a couple of weeks of not a lot happening, it’s reported in Portugal that some kind of agreement has been reached between Nottingham Forest and Sporting CP. Ousmane Diomande almost moved to Crystal Palace last summer. Oliver Glasner wanted the Eagles to secure the defender, but they weren’t able to do so. Glasner had been interested since the previous January, and he’s taken that interest to Nottingham Forest. Nottingham Forest and Sporting impasse Sporting have been adamant that only a guaranteed fee of €40m would work. On top of that they wanted €5m in potential bonus payments. Nottingham Forest were stuck at €38m fixed plus bonuses which could reach an extra €4m. Given that Sporting are obliged to publish their transfer fees, there’s no way to compromise without one side losing face. What A Bola say about a breakthrough Portuguese newspaper A Bola report Ousmane Diomande is on the verge of joining Nottingham Forest. Indeed, the newspaper states: ‘The most advanced process is that of Diomande. The defender’s move to Nottingham Forest is practically finalised.’ Sporting have reached an agreement with the Premier League club, although the exact details are not shared. A Bola state it’s likely to be around that €40m plus €5m level. The final details of the transfer, such as payment terms, are now being discussed. More good transfer news for Nottingham Forest As well as Ousmane Diomande frustrations this week, there’s also been the Givairo Read issue. At one point a transfer to Nottingham Forest was likely, and then AS Roma barged in and ruined everything. However, the Italian club have become frustrated with Feyenoord and walked away. Instead, they’re close to signing Nahuel Molina from Atletico Madrid. 🇨🇴 Nottingham Forest open talks for Gustavo Puerta – Looking to beat Hull City https://t.co/H9BGYHOTJu #nffc — Sport Witness (@Sport_Witness) August 4, 2026
