Joao Mario shared his first thoughts with us after completing his move to Fiorentina. Welcome to Florence and Fiorentina. Are you ready for this adventure? “I'm thrilled to be here. Fiorentina is a great club. I can't wait for the season to start and for us to win lots of games.” Have you had the chance to have a look around Rocco B. Commisso Viola Park? “Yes, it's amazing. I was very surprised. The facilities are top-notch. We have everything we need to work really well here. I hope we're set for a season of success.” Do you know any of the players here already? “No, I don't know any of them. I know there are some Brazilians who speak my language but I haven't met anyone before. Hopefully I'll to get to know them well now.” What made you choose Fiorentina? “Everything about the club's history, the team and the city – that's what convinced me to come here. I was really impressed by the plans laid out to me. It was an easy choice to make and I'm happy to be here.” Do you have a message for the fans? “I just want to say that I can't wait to see them at the stadium. We'll work hard to give them lots to celebrate this season.”
