Pakistan captain Babar Azam has re-entered the top 10 of the ICC Test batting rankings, marking his return to the elite group after almost two years. Babar moved up five places to secure 10th position in the latest rankings, while fellow Pakistan batter Abdullah Shafique made a significant 25-place jump to 32nd. Australia’s Travis Head continues to lead the Test batting chart, with England’s Harry Brook and Joe Root occupying second and third positions, respectively. Among other Pakistani batters, Saud Shakeel dropped two places to 26th, while wicketkeeper Mohammad Rizwan slipped one position to 27th. Former Test captain Shan Masood fell three places to 39th, while Salman Ali Agha dropped six spots to 38th. In the Test bowling rankings, India’s Jasprit Bumrah maintained his position at the top. New Zealand’s Matt Henry remained second, followed by Australia’s Mitchell Starc in third. Pakistan’s Shaheen Shah Afridi is ranked 28th among Test bowlers, while Sajid Khan climbed five places to 30th. Khurram Shahzad also improved his ranking, moving up one place to 51st. India’s Ravindra Jadeja continues to occupy the No. 1 spot in the Test all-rounders’ rankings. The improved rankings for Pakistan’s batters come after their performances during the recent Test series against the West Indies.
