A new name has entered the frame as AC Milan continue to search for the right attacking midfielder to give to Ruben Amorim. After other targets like Konstantinos Karetsas and Kerim Alajbegovic vanished to join other clubs, Milan have had to keep updating their list of potential targets. That is according to Matteo Moretto, who wrote on X: “AC Milan continues to follow the profile of Darío Osorio, the Chilean striker from Midtjylland, with great interest.” Osorio linked again The Chilean is a left-footed player who primarily plays on the right, so for Amorim 3-4-2-1 he could be an ideal fit. He’s already provided two assists in two games for Midtjylland this season, having amassed six goals and six assists in 25 league games last season. Osorio also netted Chilean national team in the last match played against Congo before the World Cup, which they won 2-1. Chile, however, did not qualify. Transfermarkt have the value of the 22-year-old at €15m, but no asking price is mentioned by Moretto. What is rather intriguing is that this is not the first time the Rossoneri have been mentioned as suitors for Osorio. In fact, the admiration is believed to stretch back to January 2023 when he was playing in Chile, and then in 2024 it was claimed Milan sent scouts to watch him play in Denmark. Another unknown aspect regarding a potential pursuit of the winger concerns whether the sale of Rafael Leao is needed first, given the growing reports that he might actually now remain at the club.
