Forest could face Milenkovic interest as Italian giants put him on wanted list

Nottingham Forest defender Nikola Milenkovic has reportedly become a target for Italian giants Juventus this summer. The centre-back has been a pillar of solidity for the Reds since joining from Fiorentina two years ago, but his performances have been catching the eye. Milenkovic was widely considered one of the best defenders in the top flight in the 2024/25 campaign, but the Reds could now face a battle to keep hold of him. According to Calciomercato, Juventus are eager to sign the influential centre-back this summer due to concerns about their current crop of centre-backs. Bologna’s Jhon Lucumi had been a target, but the Old Lady have struggled to get a deal done which is forcing them to look at other potential candidates. Juventus are now said to be taking a serious look at Milenkovic as a potential option after keeping tabs on the defender over the last few months. Boss Luciano Spalletti is eager to revamp his squad after Juve missed out on the Champions League spots last season and Milenkovic could be part of the plan to take them back to the top table of European football. Forest also failed to make Europe last season after a difficult campaign, though they ended it successfully by avoiding relegation back to the Championship. It is claimed that Milenkovic could consider a return to Italy, although the player's wages may be a problem for Juve, making a deal tricky to negotiate, given Milenkovic is firmly part of Forest's plans.
