Besiktas could abandon their pursuit of Super Eagles striker Terem Moffi as they close in on the signing of Serbian forward Dusan Vlahovic. The Istanbul giants have been linked with Moffi as they look to strengthen their attacking options, but their search for a new striker now appears to be nearing a conclusion. According to Turkish journalist Yagiz Sabuncuoglu, Besiktas have reached an agreement with Vlahovic on a three-year contract. The 26-year-old is available on a free transfer following the expiration of his contract with Juventus. Turkish media reports had suggested that Moffi was being considered as an alternative should Besiktas fail to secure Vlahovic's signature. However, with the Serbia international now seemingly on the verge of completing his move to Besiktas, the Nigerian's proposed transfer could be shelved. Apart from Besiktas, German Bundesliga club Hamburg have also been credited with an interest in the 27-year-old. During the second half of last season, Moffi was on loan at Porto, where he contributed a goal and an assist in nine league appearances as the club won the Primeira Liga title.
