How Much Of The Cleveland Browns Offensive Line Lasts Beyond 2026

In this series I will be looking at different position rooms and storylines to follow during the 2026 season and how it can impact the 2027 off season. Ideally the Cleveland Browns will see many of their current players improve during the 2026 season and fill roles on the 53 man roster for 2027. We will look at each position room and what we can ideally learn. While the dream would be for them to find a franchise quarterback from their current group of four quarterbacks, I am going to operate nearer to the consensus of reality. It is a young roster with lots of promise so there should be hope they can continue to improve as a team.
The Cleveland Browns have a significant amount of cash they can spend in 2027 based on my model. This chart looks at their sustainable spending strategy which allows them to weaponise Jimmy Haslam's deep pockets. The projected spend is looking at what they have done the previous three years as a ratio with the remaining cash after taking out the quarterback room. Then the current spend is players under contract, with a minimum salary for roster spaces which will be filled with extensions, trades, free agents and draft picks.
How Much Of The Offensive Line Survives Beyond 2026
We know three of the offensive line will be starting in 2026 based on their contracts and draft status. These are first round pick Spencer Fano, trade acquisition Tytus Howard and free agent signing Zion Johnson. Outside of this two spots are open for the 2027 season, the three favorites are:
Elgton Jenkins - They will need to decide if he is worth $12m to be retained for the second season in Cleveland. If he is an above average starting offensive lineman then it is an easy decision. You would assume he is kept but he will be 31.6 entering the 2027 regular season so age may be a factor.
Teven Jenkins - He is likely to get the first chance at right guard, if he impresses then they will likely extend him for another season. There is a chance they get competition if he is playing well but not great, where they could look to another player in free agency.
K.T. Leveston - He is already under contract for the 2027 season, so ideally both he and Elgton lock down the spots, they have an above average unit and run it back next year. It is likely at least one of the line need replacing though just due to the law of averages.
There are depth options in Austin Barber and Parker Brailsford, while they can be positive about their futures they might not be starting next year without a run of games. It is tough as a team to look at a player sitting as a third tackle or third guard or backup center and then elevate them to a starter with only 1-2 games under their belt.
With how the roster is full of young talent they will have no issue investing heavily to put a better offensive line in front of the rookie quarterback. My prediction would be one more interior offensive line is added next year.

Cleveland Browns 2027 Age Guardrails Draft Boards (OBR VIP)
The guardrails examine how Andrew Berry has operated in the past and then project this forward into the next draft class. While he could draft an older player or someone less athletic than they have ever done before, it is a solid starting point for players he is most likely to target.
