FC Copenhagen are far from finding an agreement with Burnley over a move for Jacob Bruun Larsen this summer. The winger, who was on loan at Turf Moor during the 2023/24 season, joined Burnley on a permanent transfer in July 2025. Last season, he failed to score and managed three assists from 30 matches. That doesn’t seem to have put off the Superliga side. The Danish media have talked about Copenhagen’s interest, and Tipsbladet provide the latest. Copenhagen aware of price Jacob Bruun Larsen played 110 Bundesliga matches during his time at TSG Hoffenheim and VfB Stuttgart, and 60 Premier League matches with the Clarets. His experience of playing at the highest level is an attraction for FC Copenhagen. The Denmark international has three years left on his contract, and Transfermarkt value him at €4m. Copenhagen need this figure to convince Nicky Hayen’s side and are aware about it. As things stand, they and the Championship side are ‘not close to a deal’ for the attacker. Afsløring: Bombe – Bruun Larsen koster kun 30 mio. #sldk #transferdk https://t.co/EL10ajiM9x — tipsbladet.dk (@tipsbladet) August 12, 2026 Lack of clarity on formula In fact, Tipsbladet states there’s no clarity whether the Danish club, if they decide to make further advances, want a loan or a permanent transfer. Taking the €4m price into account, it would be fair to assume that Burnley set that price. If that’s the case, the English club would look to sell or sanction a loan with an obligation to buy. Last month, Burnley appointed Nicky Hayen as their new manager, and he has given Jacob Bruun Larsen regular opportunities during pre-season friendlies. If Larsen were to leave, Burnley could replace him with Famalicão winger Sorriso as they have been monitoring him.
