COVENTRY Rugby have appointed Tom Bromwich as a new director of the club ahead of the start of the 2026/27 season. Bromwich is managing partner of Coventry-based commercial property agents Bromwich Hardy. Coventry have said Bromwich’s appointment will help ‘expand the club’s commercial presence across Warwickshire and the Midlands’. Coventry Rugby’s managing director, Brett Townsend said: “Tom Bromwich is well known to the business community and brings both contacts and extensive experience of the Midlands business scene. “He shares our passion to build Coventry Rugby and understands the crucial impact that support off the field can have on our playing performance. “His commercial knowledge and contacts will be invaluable in helping us target the financial support professional sport needs both to survive and to grow.” Bromwich added: “We have been involved with Coventry Rugby as sponsors over the past five years, and I have been impressed by the steps the club has taken at each stage of its growth to address the commercial realities of professional sport. “Now The Champ league seems to have settled down, there is the opportunity to take Coventry on to the next stage of its growth. “I said I would only consider the invitation to become a director if I felt I could add value, and after talking through Brett’s plans for the club, I am very pleased to be involved and will give the club my full support.” Bromwich also sits as a trustee on the Coventry Rugby Community Foundation board. Bromwich Hardy are Coventry’s main sponsors for the 2026/27 season.
